Lost "Tracey Takes On... Movies" sketch

Here is a portion of a sketch that was written for the episode "Movies" that was cut from the final edit. Enjoy.

She's sitting on a couch off to the side of the room. In the background WE HEAR children's laughter and the muted sound of a television.

(to camera)
I know ya'll have heard a lot about the V-chip. Well, here in the Godsen household, we have a little something we call the B-chip, and it works quite well. 'B' is for Birdie, and that's me. Here's how it works. I preview every movie with my trusty stopwatch. When I find a part that contradicts my values, I make a note.

The KITCHEN TIMER DINGS. Bridie picks up the remote and starts to cross to the TV.

(off the timer)
For instance, right now, an inappropriate scene from The Lion King where Simba and his little lioness girlfriend engage in inappropriate underage sex play.

She now stands in front of the TV, blocking the view. WE SEE the backs of four blonde children's heads, and she clicks the remote. We HEAR the squeaky sound of the tape fast forwarding. (Note: Of course, this all has to be shot so we never see or hear the actual movie.)

So, the B-chip magically fast forwards through the offensive scene.
(to children)
Look at me, children. Don't look at the screen. Heads up. Look up to heaven. Good.

Birdie checks the second hand on her watch.

Three... -- and back to the movie.

She presses "play" and crosses back to the couch.

Girls On Top

Back in 1986, Tracey along with Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders, and Ruby Wax, starred in the comedy series, Girls On Top. Tracey played the vapid blond bimbo, Candice Valentine. A book based on the series was published soon after. The book contained contributions from each character. Here are some of the scans of the pages in which "Candice" contributed to. Tracey shot photos exclusively for this. See the first episode of "Girls On Top" below.

Back in 2005, and 2006, Seasons 1 & 2 of Tracey Takes On... were released on DVD. Seasons 3 & 4 were never to be found later. Well, now it's coming. Look for Seasons 3 & 4 on DVD in 2009. Extras should be included. The set will be released through Eagle Rock, rather than HBO Home Video.

Already announced is the first season of Tracey's new series, "State of the Union", which is expected to be packed with bonus features! Look for the DVD to be released on November 11, 2008. Pre-order it here.

But even more exciting, all of Tracey's US shows (not The Tracey Ullman Show) will be released via iTunes by the end of this year!!!

Finally, we'll have Tracey whenever we want her!

Reminder, Tracey Ullman's State of the Union season 2 is filming now, and will air early next year on Showtime! It is directed again, by the great Troy Miller.
